Park Street Church was formally opened Wed 4th March 1863 by the Rev. Charles Prest, President of the Wesleyan Conference.
The Sunday School was extended in 1883, when a new organ was also provided in the Church.
In 1901 the Church Parlour and additional vestry accommodation were provided.

"Park Street Church was designed to seat nine hundred and fifty, and the schoolroom attached to accommodate two hundred and sixty scholars. Twenty years later in 1883 the Sunday School was extended by building a series of vestries and a fine new Organ installed. In 1901 the Church Parlour and additional Vestry accommodation were provided..."
