Part I, discusses the character and evolution of Archaic Tombs, Pre-dynastic and Proto-dynastic graves and their contents, the construction of Archaic Tombs, Rich tombs at El Amrah and objects found there. Graves excavated at Abydos and the Temple of Usertesen. Part II, focuses on the XIIIth - XVIIth dynasties, tombs of the XVIIIth dynasty and temple of Aahmes I, tombs of the XIXth and XXXth dynasties, a description of the plates, the inscriptions and a catalogue of the tombs.
