Emma Carter loves swimming, writing, and biking. She also loves her pet goldfish and tacos. In general, Emma loves her life. Emma is deaf and uses a cochlear implant to help her hear. She uses sign language as well. Every day is a new chance to have fun, and Emma tries to do just that by conquering daily challenges with a positive attitude and non-stop determination. Her favourite season is autumn. She loves the weather, the leaves and, most of all, the apples! Emma's dad takes Emma and her best friend, Izzie, to the apple orchard. And every year they pick dozens of apples so they can make apple pies, apple sauce, apple tarts and other apple treats. But this year, things don't go as planned.
