Summary:
Photographs in this book trace the development of Bolton School Boys' Division from the ancient Bolton Grammar School which, in partnership with the Girls' High School, was re-endowed by the First Lord Leverhulme late in the nineteenth century. Further photographs illustrate the lasting effect of the new endowment and record the life and activities of the junior and senior schools over many decades.
