Bolton Oral History Project in 1980s saw many Boltonians interviewed. Information about their families, lifestyle and work was recorded on to cassette tapes. In 2019 170 cassette tapes were digitised at Manchester Central Library as part of a bigger project by the British Library in London to save the interviews before the cassette tape became damaged.
The interviews can be listened to in Bolton History Centre.
